Hockey in Kansas City
Will the NHL come to Kansas City? The Sprint Center will be ready to go in 2007. Who will be the Sprint Center’s major tenant? This blog will provide links to stories about NHL and NBA teams that may relocate to Kansas City. Plus, we'll provide Kansas City hockey links and stories. - Location: Kansas City, Missouri
First and foremost, I am a hockey fan. I grew up around the Philadelphia Flyers, Buffalo Sabres and Toronto Maple Leafs. I moved to the Midwest later in life and miss living in an NHL town. It's possible that the NHL will return to Kansas City. I'm here to provide links to stories and generally clear up the misinformation that is being spread about KC's bid to get a major tennant for the new Sprint Center. Plus, I need a place to post my opinions about the NHL.

Is there a significant development?
Its a well written article asking some tough, but fair questions that needed to be asked. Its a bit overly pessimistic in KC's chances of landing a franchise. I think everyone needs to relax and not expect a tenant on opening day of the Sprint Center. I think its reasonable to expect a major tenant in the next five years, but I'd say the odds are slim to having one by September of 2007.
